G Grandma and Grandpa have a hard time getting around on uneven surfaces, but we made sure they both got to visit the grave sites.
We've been out on the dune buggy and swimming a ton.
One afternoon Thad even took the kids out to shark tooth mountain to dig for shark teeth. They look like they are dying because it was 106 outside. Not the best day to go.
We've been using up the stack of Johns Incredible Pizza coupons the kids earned at school this year.
And gone to the movies. This was just a commercial, not even a preview, and I could not get them to tear their eyes from the screen to get a picture. I feel like that's a problem.
Peter has been going to "swimmy class" and we had to break out the wet suit because he gets so cold he couldn't make it through a 30 minute lesson. But after two weeks I feel confident that if he fell in he could swim to the side and get himself out, which is a relief with all the pool time we have going on.
There have been forts,
And play dates and trips to the discovery museum.
Trips to Lowes,
And gardening lessons with Grandpa. Sammy is begging for us to buy lawn equipment and fire our gardener so he can do it. I'm sure that excitement would be over before the first mowing experience was.
Thad has been building our ward a new shower for girls camp. It's pretty awesome.
This picture makes me laugh. Peter grabbed the remote and said, "Daddy, I'm going to control you with this okay? Like go forward and back and jump okay?"
We've done a few projects around the house, like staining the hand rail on the stairs. I've been wanting to do it for 4 years now, but thought it would be a huge pain. It wasn't. I wish I had attempted it sooner!
And I was even able to sneak away to breakfast club with the girls one Saturday morning. These littles are as dear to me as their mommas were at this age. Maggie is equal parts sweet and psychotic. She was only happy as long as she and Opal were on the same lap and she was touching her. Crazy cousin love.
Here's to the next few weeks of cub scout day camp, and swimming, and art camp, and swimming and dollar movie days, and even more swimming.
