Moving Foreward

I did remember to take Peter's 8 month picture at the 8 month mark . . . it's just taken me two weeks to get it posted. I don't have any official stats, but if you notice the size written on the bottom of his socks, you can assume he's big.

A few days after this he officially started crawling. He's been scooting backwards for a few weeks now, but he is finally on his hands and knees moving forward, on purpose. Usually he's trying  to get to whatever Thad is eating, or the remote control Kid's got priorities. We tried feeding him cereals again at 8 months and this time he had no reaction to them. Thankfully, because he is like a puppy these days. If you are eating he crawls to your feet and yells till he gets a bite.

Spring break was lovely. We were so lazy. And Easter weekend was great. We put some extra effort into making sure the kids understood why we actually celebrate Easter and it made the day that much sweeter. I did not get the before church picture of the kiddos in their new outfits because Thad had to leave early for choir practice, and I was scrambling getting out the door. So here is what the older two looked like after church, and Peter after he got up from his nap. Not nearly as put together as before, but you get the idea.

 

We did a little egg hunt after church, and then a bigger hunt with all the cousins right before dinner. We hosted both families for dinner and it would have been perfect, except for the rain that hit right before we went out for the hunt and continued through dinner, messing up my plans for the kids to eat outside. Boo.  But here's a great action shot of Andi and Sammy right after church. They ran around the backyard yelling each time they found something.

And now we are back to school and routines and waking up early. Blah.Ooh, but I finally had some inspiration for a quilt for my bed, so after a year in the house we are finally going to get started on our room!
