Lazy Summer Days

The Summer fun just keeps going around here. Sammy got to attend his very first cub scout day camp in June and loved it. The boys got to  meet officers from many law enforcement branches, and even got to climb inside the SWAT vehicle. And check out this group. This is just the 8 yr old boys in our ward. The older cubs had their own group for the week. So many little boys! They are going to be such trouble together. Also, Sammy is the absolute youngest in this picture. And the only boy as tall as him is the 12 yr old helper.

Fathers day happened too. We did breakfast in Bed for Thad along with gifts before church, and then dinner and dessert with both families. This year I was challenged by my siblings to make Dad a floor length Jedi bathrobe, complete with hood and swooshy sleeves. Since I don't sew wearable things, this was a huge reach for me, but I think it turned out well. And appropriately, Dad was wearing his Yoda shirt that day as well.

We also got to meet Charlotte. I still can't get over the fact that I've known this babes mom since she was almost that little. Love this next generation of Villanueva girls.

My birthday has come and gone as well and it was a nice day with my little family. Thad got me tickets to see Newsies at the Pantages in September, which I'm super excited about. SO excited I made everyone watch the movie with me that night. Andi was all about it, but Thad and the boys were less excited.

Sammy is getting good at the photo bombing thing.

The next day was the 4th, which we started off right with a pancake breakfast with our ward. Followed by swimming, BBQ, more swimming, and fireworks. Oh and a stop at the military surplus store.

Peter boy loves his bear bear. Literally will not sleep without him.

Today we picked a few grapes in the backyard and had the kids deliver them around the neighborhood. Next weekend there will be just as many to try to get rid of. Anyone need grapes?

And this picture makes me laugh. We were at the kids museum this week and they were working on this ball run when a worker came in and asked if she could take some pictures for their facebook page. As soon as we got home the kids wanted me to check to see if their picture was up. I mean, they're famous now right?!

Andi also got to spend a week at Tenilles with cousins and no Mom and Dad. Pretty sure it was the best week of her life. She now thinks we need to move to Paradise, CA. And that she will only be happy when she can have as may pets as Aunt Tenille and live in the mountains. Only a few more week till our beach trip. We'll see what fun we can fit in in the meantime.
