March and April catch up

I can't seem to keep up with this blog very regularly, but here's a quick catch up of the last month. Right after we got back from our fabulous trip to Mexico I got the flu and thought I was going to die. Seriously. I've never had the flu and I was so sick I thought I brought back some freak disease from Mexico and was going to die from it. It was awful. Unfortunately that meant I missed Sammy's first grade Oral Language festival. He does not like to get up in front of people and I was so nervous for him because of it. But he got up on stage and recited his Creepy Pizza poem perfectly, and even took a bow after he was done. Thank goodness for videos.

The next week was spring break and it was a low key but fun week. We went to the movies with Grandma to see Zootopia. Peter was there too but didn't want in on the picture.

And to the Zoo with friends, which always makes things more fun.

Easter morning was fun. Peter knew what was going on this year with the egg hunting and talked about the bunny hiding candy for him for days.

Later that day we had both of our families over for dinner and luckily is was a beautiful day so we could all be out back. It would be kind of hard to fit seating for 30 in the house.

The next week was an awards assembly for Andi at school and I attempted it with Peter. He is why I don't go to assemblies often, and he reminded why I don't bring him. But he was very excited to see Andi at school and only got really mad when she went back to class and he had to leave with me.

Andi keeps bringing home Tahoe Joes gift certificates when she earns these awards and so we finally used a couple and took her and Sammy to dinner. Here they are watching videos of Magic Mountain rides trying to decide if they are brave enough to go.

And we've had 3 friends get baptized in the last few weeks as well. Here's Sammy and his cute buddy Hudson. I can't believe Sammy is old enough for that this year!

Tenille popped into town for a few days and we squeezed in lot's of fun. An afternoon of crafting and dinner at our house. And a picnic and fishin at hart park.

Peter is a crazy person most of the time. When I tell Thad bout my daily adventures with him, he thinks it's funny. But every know and then  Thad has to take Peter out and then he knows it's not so funny. Apparently he spent this entire lowes trip using the cart as a jungle gym. In my book that's a good trip because he at least stayed with Thad and didn't try to run away.

And this is the picture Andi brought home from the Daddy Daughter dance and I just could not believe how grown up she looks in it.

Things to remember: When Peter gets in trouble these days he says "Momma, be happy at me. Have to be best friends."  Or "It's okay Momma, be best friends still."   He is always trying to figure out how things work and looking for where the baterries go on everything. Yesterday in the car he told me "Mom, when my batteries run, out I die."  "Oh really, you have battereis ?"  "Ya, they are in my tummy, they give me energy and when the run out I'll die."
He comes up with the funniest stuff.
