So, we bought a digital video camera yesterday, very exciting. And I realized that Thad truly is his mothers son. He whipped the camera out several times once the battery was charged to video just in case Andi did something cute. She rolled over again . . . phew! good thing we had the camera to cath it!
Um, my skirt is finished all except the zipper, amd I did it with no tantrums! which is why the zipper is not done yet, I got frustrated and had to put it away for a while till I could calmly tackle it again. Other than that, nothing terribly interesting to report, though I'm sure there will be when we get back from our trip this weekend.

Plans

Anyway, we are headed to Portland next weekend to find an apartment for the summer. Wish us luck! It's not the apt hunting I am worried about as much as it is a 12 hour road trip with this little one. She is not a huge fan of the car seat these days, unless she is asleep and doesn't know she's in it. So she'll probably sleep all day while we are driving and be up all night once we get there! yay!
So I bought material and a pattern to make a skirt, i've got it all cut out and after reading the instructions several times I think I will attempt to put it together. That is after Kelsie comes over to help me thread the devil machine that hates me. It really does hate me. Everyone else seems to ba able to use it just fine, but as soon as I touch it the thread gets all knotted and messes everything up. But my goal is to finish the skirt without a huge tantrum ;) We'll see what happens.

Blessed
So Thad finally tracked down our landlord at a public meeting and asked him, ya know, if he wanted rent for the last two months! This guy is either crazy or very very nice cos he said he wasn't worried about collecting rent from us ever! He said he is too busy with his other projects to worry about being a landlord right now, and that he didn't buy the properties to get rent, but to develope it. So there is a huge testimony to the power of paying tithing, which is my only explanation for our fabulously good luck. It's not luck at all, but blessings ;)

Independent Woman
Andi Discovered her independence at Grandma & Grandpa's house. She spent most of her awake time laying on a blanket like this.

I think she had a bit too much attention with all the family & friends around and for the rest of the week got cranky if you held her too long. Which is kinda nice for me in that it gives me a little more freedom to do things while she is awake. She will let you hold her while she's eating, being burped, or if she's really tired and wants to be rocked, but other than that she seems to prefer being left to her own on the floor. She also rolled over for the first time this afternoon, but i'm not sure it wasn't an accident.

Andi's Big Day
Here is Andi on her blessing day . . . wearing the very same outfit I was blessed in. It fits her better though . . . I was a super fat baby.

It was a wonderful day, and she even managed to keep the outfit clean! There are of course, a bazillion more pics with all the fam, but you'll have to check out Thad's site for that. More about the trip home to come . . . stay tuned!
